The audits are carried out in accordance with the current regulatory framework in Spain established by RD 56/2016, as well as aligned with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2023/1791 on energy efficiency, which will progressively replace the current regulatory model once its transposition into national legislation is complete.

Evolutia complements the audit with the preparation of a structured implementation plan for measures over two to three years, prioritising actions according to their energy impact, technical feasibility and economic profitability. This approach allows organisations to have a clear roadmap to progressively improve their energy performance.
In addition, financing opportunities are identified and managed to facilitate the execution of the proposed investments, including public grants from the IDAE, regional or sectoral aid, as well as energy savings monetisation mechanisms such as Energy Savings Certificates (CAE).
Regulatory compliance and adaptation to the new European framework
The service facilitates compliance with regulatory obligations regarding energy efficiency, guaranteeing audits in accordance with RD 56/2016, which currently requires periodic completion for large companies and coverage of at least 85% of energy consumption.
Likewise, Evolutia prepares organisations for the transition towards the new regulatory model arising from Directive (EU) 2023/1791, which introduces an approach based on real energy consumption levels and reinforces audit and energy management requirements for large consumers.
